Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust seeks an experienced Ecologist to lead field surveys, deliver technical reports and provide ecological advice. The role covers varied projects, with opportunities to collaborate across teams and drive practical on-ground outcomes for nature conservation.

Applicants should hold a degree in ecology or environmental science, possess protected-species licensing where possible, have a full UK driving licence, and demonstrate strong project management and client-facing

Qualificações

  • Good professional ecology experience and ability to take responsibility for own work.
  • Degree in ecology or environmental science and UK driving licence.
  • Experience managing ecological projects or defined work packages.
  • Technical report writing skills and ability to advise clients.
  • Protected-species licensing experience or capability desired.

Responsabilidades

  • Undertake and lead ecological surveys, including habitat and protected-species surveys.
  • Produce clear, high-quality ecological reports, assessments and plans.
  • Manage standard ecological projects from instruction to completion with senior support.
  • Plan and coordinate fieldwork with staff and seasonal ecologists.
  • Prepare mitigation measures and support licensing where appropriate.
  • Build relationships with clients, landowners and stakeholders.
  • Prepare quotations and contribute to larger proposals.
