Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Consultant Ecologist to join our ecology team in Newcastle. You will deliver ecological surveys and assessments, support Biodiversity Net Gain projects, and produce technical reports throughout the planning and development process.

The role offers flexible working with remote options, a training budget, mentoring and progression within a growing consultancy. Eligibility includes a degree in Ecology or related subject, consultancy experience delivering surveys,

• Consultancy experience delivering ecological surveys and assessments.
• Good report-writing and communication skills.
• Experience with protected species and/or habitat surveys is a plus.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Living in or within commutable distance of Newcastle.

As a Consultant Ecologist, you will join a supportive and collaborative ecology team, working across a varied portfolio of projects. The role will involve delivering ecological surveys and assessments, supporting Biodiversity Net Gain projects, producing technical reports and providing ecological advice throughout the planning and development process.
