Rolls-Royce SMR is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer – Earthing to provide technical leadership across the design and integration of earthing and lightning protection for the SMR power station. You will drive system architecture, equipment specifications and component selections, ensuring a compliant, robust final design.

You will collaborate with electrical, civil, systems, safety and project teams, mentor engineers, and engage with suppliers, regulators and customers to safeguard plant safety

Qualificações

• Experience in earthing and lightning protection system design and verification.
• Knowledge of UK/European codes and standards for earthing and protection.
• Experience in nuclear or high-integrity environments preferred.
• Familiarity with MBSE tools (Capella, DOORS, Polarion).
• Ability to manage contract partners delivering technical work packages.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical leadership for earthing and lightning protection systems.
• Assess and substantiate designs for UK/international compliance.
• Develop system architecture, specs, documentation, and component selections.
• Support design reviews, risk assessments, and governance activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and engage with suppliers and regulators.
• Represent electrical engineering in cross‑disciplinary teams and external forums.
