Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Lead Earthing Engineer to join our security-focused team and support critical infrastructure projects across the UK. You will install and test earthing systems, coordinate with clients and project managers, and ensure safety and quality across multi-site deployments.

The ideal candidate has a proven background in earthing or lightning protection, a clean driving licence, and strong problem solving and customer facing skills.

Qualifications

• Self-starting and diligent problem solver with ability to work solo or in a team.
• Excellent customer facing skills and self-presentation.
• Must hold a clean driving licence.
• Proven background in Earthing/Lightning Protection installation, service or maintenance.
• GCSE English/Math/Science qualifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Install and test earthing systems at LV/HV/GIS substations and facilities.
• Install lightning protection systems on various building types.
• Liaise with clients on site and resolve design issues with architects and PMs.
• Ensure work is carried out safely, diligently and on time.
