Job summary

Lucion Delta-Simons Ltd in London is seeking an experienced Principal/Associate Drainage Engineer to lead drainage projects within our Water Services team, combining technical leadership with client engagement.

You will own projects from inception to completion, mentor the team, deliver SuDS and drainage designs, support business development, and represent the firm with confidence across disciplines. This role offers opportunities to join our Manchester, Leeds or London offices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in drainage engineering and/or consultancy.
• Proven experience in SuDS design, from concept through to detailed design.
• Extensive experience managing projects and working with clients and statutory consultees.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the wider consultancy environment.
• Membership of a relevant Professional Body.

Responsibilities

• Manage drainage projects from inception to completion, including preparing fee proposals and tenders.
• Lead the preparation and delivery of Drainage Strategies to support planning applications.
• Mentor team members in conceptual and detailed drainage design, including SuDS.
• Take responsibility for growth and development of drainage services.
• Deliver complex surface water and foul drainage designs in line with industry guidance.
• Review reports, drawings and calculations for technical assurance.
• Promote technical capabilities through networking and business development.
