Job summary

Lucion Delta-Simons is seeking a Principal or Associate Drainage Engineer to lead and grow our drainage service within the Water Services team. You will own projects from inception through to completion, solving complex drainage challenges for a range of planning and development schemes in the UK.

The role requires strong technical leadership, client engagement and mentoring of junior staff, with opportunities to shape service offerings and contribute to the firm’s growth.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent qualifications/experience.
• 8+ years’ experience in drainage engineering and consultancy.
• Proven experience in SuDS design from concept to detailed design.
• Experience managing projects with clients and statutory consultees.
• Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of the consultancy environment.
• Proficient in drainage design software including Causeway Flow and InfoDrainage; AutoCAD experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from inception to completion with technical, PM and commercial oversight.
• Deliver Drainage Strategies to support planning applications for diverse developments.
• Mentor team members in conceptual drainage design and SuDS production.
• Drive growth and development of drainage services within the team.
• Provide technical assurance on reports, drawings and calculations.
• Engage with clients and promote Lucion Delta-Simons capabilities.
