Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the Development Infrastructure Team. Based in the UK, you will drive technical delivery of high-profile projects across drainage, highways and utilities, while mentoring staff and coordinating multi-disciplinary design activities.

You will shape client briefs, contribute to bids, and work with internal and external stakeholders to secure successful outcomes, supporting business targets and a flexible hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering and registration with ICE or relevant institution.
• Proven track record delivering Development Infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across design and delivery phases.

Responsibilities

• Oversee studies, assessments and designs including drainage, highways, utilities, earthworks and flooding.
• Manage project teams and represent the team internally and externally at appropriate levels.
• Ensure technical delivery of projects to required standards and timelines.
• Prepare client briefs or fee proposals and contribute to major bids.
• Foster strong relationships with internal teams within AECOM’s global capabilities.
• Mentor and develop the team members to grow capability.
• Support delivery of business and financial targets.
