Job summary

AECOM is seeking to recruit an Infrastructure Engineer with a highways and drainage focus to join our busy Development Infrastructure Team in the UK. The role involves leading technical designs, delivering civil infrastructure for residential-led schemes, and coordinating surveys and studies.

You will work across highways, rail, water, and other sectors, liaising with regulators and clients, and contributing to bids.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree (BEng) and/or Master’s degree (MEng).
• Experience delivering highways and drainage design for residential, commercial, and wider infrastructure schemes.
• Proficiency in InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with developer clients and contractors.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical designs and digital delivery of civil engineering projects.
• Prepare and review survey specifications, including utilities and topographical surveys.
• Check and coordinate studies, assessments, and conceptual designs for drainage, highways, and utilities.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to secure approvals.
• Contribute to bids and proposals and communicate technical solutions.
