Job summary

Roblox is hiring a London-based Senior Security Engineer to design and operate detections, automation and tooling for the SIRT/SOC. You’ll act as the Incident Commander in the European region, autonomously guiding responses and driving architecture to improve monitoring across our platform.

You will work with global teams, lead investigations, and hunt threats, while applying security frameworks and best practices to protect players, developers and employees. Some travel to the USA is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in security engineering, Infosec, IT, or related fields.
• 7+ years in detection or response with proven tooling/automation.
• Experience leading incidents and acting as incident commander.
• Strong scripting and automation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or Cybersecurity or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and maintain production-quality detections, automations and integrations.
• Own tooling and platform to improve alert quality and automation across SIRT/SOC.
• Act as primary Incident Commander during European hours, coordinating responses.
• Shape strategy and architecture for detection and response engineering.
• Lead high-profile responses to vulnerabilities or platform-wide events.
• Conduct forensic investigations and threat hunting to identify threats.
• Collaborate with Legal, HR and executives; travel to the USA as needed.
