Qualifications

• Significant experience in engineering design within water, wastewater, utilities, energy, process, or infrastructure sectors.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and complex design projects.
• Strong governance, technical assurance, and design management knowledge.
• Experience applying standards and best practices in regulated environments.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards registration with relevant institutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and technical assurance of engineering designs across major capital projects.
• Provide engineering leadership through feasibility to detailed design stages.
• Act as principal technical authority for complex solutions and investment schemes.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams including electrical, mechanical, civil, ICA, and process.
• Review and approve design deliverables for compliance with standards.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, standardisation, and whole-life cost optimisation.
• Support Design Risk Assessments, HAZOPs, and design governance processes.
• Mentor engineers and graduates to develop capabilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to manage engineering risks and deliver value.
