Baringa is seeking a Lead Data Products Engineer to join its Energy Products team. You will help design and evolve data products on our Data Platform, owning data contracts, governance and the data capture/transform processes that power analytics and client-facing systems.

You will provide technical leadership, collaborate with the Platform team, and drive best practices across data quality, reliability and observability in an agile environment. Hybrid working is supported.

Formación

• Passion for data and its real-world application and understanding of data products.
• Experience as a senior/lead engineer in data product teams.
• Strong problem-solving with multiple tech approaches.
• Proficient in Python for data and application engineering.
• Expert knowledge of data management technologies (SQL/NoSQL/Databricks).
• Familiar with cloud tech (AWS/Azure) and Data Lakehouse architectures.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

Responsabilidades

• Build understanding of data domain and data sources across modelling processes and client-facing systems.
• Drive design and development of foundational data products on the Data Platform.
• Own domain data products and ensure quality, adoption, reliability and evolution.
• Formalise data contracts, schemas, versioning and governance workflows.
• Provide technical leadership alongside the Product Owner.
• Drive engineering best practices for quality, reliability and observability.
• Participate in all stages of agile development from refinement to delivery.
