Job summary

CF is hiring a Lead Platform Engineer to act as the senior technical lead for our data platform. You will translate architectural direction into detailed designs, mentor the data engineering team and deliver platform workstreams across multi-region operations.

You will work with the Director of Data, Analytics and Intelligence to ensure architectural coherence, technical governance and delivery excellence while engaging with vendors and client projects.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in data/platform engineering, with senior/lead responsibility.
• Deep expertise in cloud platform design and secure data architecture (IAM, network).
• Strong Python and SQL, plus PySpark/Spark for production pipelines.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design detailed platform architectures for CF’s cloud infra and NHS data pipelines.
• Own delivery management of platform and data engineering workstreams.
• Define engineering standards, patterns and reference implementations.
• Contribute to vendor discussions and proposals with technical input.
• Mentor data engineers and act as formal technical reference for the team.
