Job summary

La Fosse is seeking a Lead Data Engineer for an urgent contract role to support a financial services organization building a new banking data function using Snowflake. This hands-on technical leadership position involves architecting and designing the data platform, focusing on ingestion and reporting across high-volume financial data. Candidates must have strong experience in Snowflake and core banking data platforms, with a willingness to work on-site in London 2-3 days a week. The daily rate is between £650-750, outside IR35.

Qualifications

• Must have deep experience in Snowflake and modern banking data architectures.
• Experience working with core banking data is essential.
• Ability to lead end-to-end implementations on a greenfield platform.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build all core data warehouse layers across Snowflake.
• Ingest and model data from a core banking system.
• Define data architecture standards, best practices, and governance.
