Evans Cycles in the United Kingdom is seeking a Supervisor Cycle Technician to be at the heart of our workshop, delivering high-quality repairs, servicing and safety checks that keep riders confident. Qualifications

  • Experience repairing a wide range of bike types and components.
  • Workshop experience as a mechanic/technician desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of bicycle brands, models, and components.
  • Detail-focused with a commitment to quality and safety.
  • Confident communicator with great customer service skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Physically able to stand and lift bikes as needed.
  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends in line with store hours.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out a wide range of bicycle repairs including brake adjustments, gear tuning, wheel truing, drivetrain maintenance, and suspension servicing.
  • Assembling new bicycles to manufacturer guidelines and ensuring they’re safe and ready for sale.
  • Conducting service consultations with customers, diagnosing issues, and providing clear repair recommendations and estimates.
  • Supporting customers in selecting the right parts, upgrades, and accessories for their bikes.
  • Performing safety inspections to highlight and resolve potential issues.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality control so every repair meets safety and service expectations.
  • Organising the workshop, managing spare parts, tools, and stock efficiently.
  • Delivering excellent customer service – explaining repairs, offering advice, and ensuring every rider leaves confident in their bike.
