Job summary

Sandwell Council is seeking an experienced Complex Hub Team Leader to guide a team of Complex Case Officers delivering intensive, person-centred support to single adults who are homeless or at risk.

You will provide expert guidance on complex cases, oversee multi-agency interventions with partners in housing, health and social care, and drive continuous improvement in homelessness prevention and accommodation outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in homelessness, housing, or related services.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Experience with customers with multiple needs, including rough sleeping and mental ill health.
• Strong knowledge of homelessness legislation and options.
• Excellent communication and partnership-working skills.
• Ability to assess risk and support staff with challenging and complex casework.
• Commitment to person-centred services and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of Complex Case Officers and Outreach Officers delivering intensive support to single adults who are rough sleeping, homeless, at risk of homelessness or experiencing multiple disadvantage.
• Provide professional oversight, guidance and decision-making on complex homelessness cases and support interventions.
• Oversee interventions for customers who are rough sleeping or at risk of rough sleeping, coordinating with partners to secure accommodation and address wider support needs.
• Support staff through regular supervision, reflective practice, coaching and development opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with homelessness legislation, safeguarding responsibilities, policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with statutory services, voluntary organisations, health providers and other agencies to deliver coordinated support for customers.
• Organise and lead multi-agency meetings, case conferences and professional discussions to coordinate support plans, manage risk and achieve positive outcomes.
• Coordinate local rough sleeper counts and monitor trends to target interventions effectively.
