Overview

Our client is currently recruiting for an ICorr Level 2 Coatings Inspector for a 6-8 week contract. The work will be based from Barry, South Wales and will involve monitoring and reporting on the quality standards of the application of coatings and surface treatments.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily coating inspections and testing in accordance with the guidance specified in the relative Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and recording results
• Monitoring and reporting compliance with quality standards with procedures that regulate the preparation and application of coatings and surface treatments.
• Reviewing and understanding various client specifications
• Understanding corrosion, surface preparation, cleanliness, environmental conditions, test instruments, coating mixtures, and safety.
• Completing inspection documents on computer
• Ensuring inspection and test equipment is serviceable before use

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience as a coating inspector.
• Coatings industry experience that includes a coatings inspection associated with a large project
• ISO:9001 quality systems awareness
• Construction health and safety awareness
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
