Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Learning Disability Service in Swindon. You will deliver highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation and interventions for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, within a multidisciplinary team.

You will provide consultation and supervision, support families and carers, and help embed psychologically informed approaches across the service.

Qualifications

• Must hold DClinPsy (or equivalent) and HCPC registration.
• Eligible for Chartered Clinical Psychologist status.
• Experience with psychological assessment and intervention in complex cases, especially learning disabilities.
• Experience providing consultation to teams and partners.
• Strong communication, emotional resilience, and ability to manage challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for adults with learning disabilities.
• Provide person-centred psychological support to individuals, families and carers across settings.
• Engage with people with communication difficulties and those distressed to enable participation in intervention.
• Lead on supporting service users with challenging behaviours and develop wellbeing strategies.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated care and promote best practice.
