Job summary

Jobtailor in Leeds is seeking an experienced Civil & Structural Engineer to lead design across water and wastewater projects, delivering reinforced concrete designs and technical reports.

You will mentor juniors, review calculations, engage with clients and project teams, and help drive work-winning through technical excellence. This role is centered in the UK water sector with emphasis on quality and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in civil and structural engineering, ideally within the UK water sector.
• Experience designing reinforced concrete structures.
• Knowledge of water-retaining structures, tanks, chambers and buried assets.
• Experience in the water and wastewater sector.
• Understanding of retaining wall and foundation design.
• Experience preparing and checking engineering calculations, reports and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and undertake civil and structural design activities across water and wastewater projects.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports and design documentation.
• Deliver reinforced concrete and structural designs for water-retaining and buried structures.
• Support the technical delivery of major AMP8 programmes and capital investment schemes.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and graduates.
• Manage project deliverables to quality, programme and budget requirements.
• Engage confidently with clients, contractors and internal project teams.
• Contribute to work-winning activities and technical excellence initiatives.
