Job summary

Carrington West is representing a growing consultancy in Oxford seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead residential infrastructure design. You will own projects, mentor junior engineers, and build strong client relationships while delivering practical solutions.

Working on varied housing developments, you’ll design highways, drainage, SuDS, and adoptable layouts, coordinating with authorities and design teams to ensure timely delivery and commercial success.

Qualifications

• UK infrastructure design experience.
• Residential/mixed-use project delivery.
• Strong communication and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of residential infrastructure projects from concept to completion.
• Coordinate highways, drainage and external works for developments.
• Prepare and review drawings, reports, specs and design documentation.
• Support adoption agreements and liaise with authorities and utilities.
• Attend client and design team meetings and site visits.
• Manage project programmes, budgets and resources for successful delivery.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Develop strong client relationships to drive repeat business.
