Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer specializing in highways and drainage design. You will take ownership of development projects, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and deliver technical solutions from feasibility to detailed design.

You will work with AutoCAD and Civil 3D in a consultancy environment, applying UK design standards and supporting professional development toward ICE accreditation. The role offers strong progression in a growing team.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering design for consultancy environments.
• Strong understanding of residential and commercial development infrastructure.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with teams.
• Knowledge of UK design standards and approval processes.

Responsibilities

• Producing detailed highway and drainage designs for development projects.
• Designing foul and surface water drainage systems to Sewers for Adoption guidelines.
• Preparing S38 and S278 highway designs in line with DMRB and local requirements.
• Taking responsibility for projects from feasibility through to delivery.
• Producing technical drawings, calculations and design reports.
• Liaising with developers, authorities and contractors to coordinate designs.
