Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Structural Engineer to join a design-focused consultancy in Oxfordshire. You will take ownership of projects from concept through to completion, coordinating with architects and clients to deliver innovative structural solutions.

The role involves design across steel, concrete, timber and masonry, with opportunities for progression and chartership support within a collaborative, growing team.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience with UK structural consultancy environments.
• Good understanding of building structures and design codes.

Responsibilities

• Undertake structural analysis and design across a variety of building projects.
• Design structures using steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry.
• Prepare structural calculations, technical reports and specifications.
• Work closely with architects, contractors and other design professionals.
• Manage projects through the design and construction stages.
• Attend site visits, surveys and project meetings.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant British Standards, Eurocodes and Building Regulations.
• Contribute to delivery of practical, efficient engineering solutions.
