Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to join the CS&A team on the Lightly Shielded Store 1 project at Sellafield, a 7200m2 new build with a 100-year design life. You’ll lead the civil design scope, develop 3D models, and deliver 2D drawings while ensuring safety and compliance throughout Preliminary and Detailed Design stages.

Qualifications

• A civil/structural engineering degree is required.
• Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• Experience in civil design including highways, drainage, underground services, fencing, and earthworks.
• Proficiency in Infodrainage, Civils 3D and AutoCAD (2D).
• Nuclear sector experience preferred or similar industrial field.
• Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver civil design scope across design and construction stages.
• Lead the Civil team and represent the discipline in meetings.
• Provide technical management, direction and assurance of packages.
• Develop 3D model and produce 2D GA and detail drawings.
• Ensure designs are safe, fit for purpose and compliant with CDM.
