Job summary

Morson Group is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to join our CS&A team on the LSS1 project in Warrington. The role covers planning the civil design scope through design and construction, coordinating with the Responsible Engineer and Area Engineering Manager.

The project is a 7200m2 new build for Sellafield with a 100-year design life; the assignment starts with a 12-month contract inside IR35, with rates from £60 per hour. BPSS clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Civil/structural engineering degree required; Chartered Engineer preferred.
• Experience leading civil design across design and construction stages.
• Experience with Infodrainage, Civils 3D and AutoCAD 2D drawings.
• Nuclear or similar industrial experience preferred.
• BPSS clearance is required.
• Strong planning, meetings, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan delivery of civil design scope with CS&A Responsible Engineer and Area Engineering Manager.
• Lead the Civil team and represent the discipline at cross-discipline meetings.
• Provide technical direction, oversight and assurance of design packages.
• Develop 3D model and produce 2D GA and detail drawings from model.
• Ensure designs are safe, fit for purpose and meet requirements.
• Fulfil the Designer role under CDM Regulations.
• Coordinate with external consultants and manage package deliverables.
