Job summary

Millbank Holdings Ltd is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to oversee the design and delivery of civil infrastructure for a major new-build project at the Sellafield site.

You will plan design scopes, manage delivery schedules, lead a team of engineers, develop 3D models and drawings, and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and project standards. Chartered status is preferred; nuclear experience is desirable, and collaboration across disciplines is essential.

Qualifications

• A civil or structural engineering degree, chartered status preferred.
• Proven extensive civil design experience including highways, drainage, earthworks and underground services.
• Experience in regulated environments or industrial sectors; nuclear experience desirable.

The Role

As Lead Civil Engineer, you will oversee a vital component of a significant new-build project at the Sellafield site, specialising in the design and delivery of civil infrastructure. Your responsibilities include planning civil design scopes, managing delivery schedules, leading a team of engineers and designers, and ensuring designs meet safety, regulatory, and project-specific standards. You will coordinate cross-discipline collaboration, develop 3D models and detailed drawings, and provide technical oversight throughout the project's lifecycle.

You will have the following qualifications & experience:

• A civil or structural engineering degree, with chartered status preferred.
• Proven, extensive experience in civil design, including highways, drainage, earthworks, and underground services.
• Expert proficiency in civil design software such as Infodrainage, Civils 3D, and AutoCAD.
• Experience working within regulated environments or industrial sectors; nuclear experience is highly desirable, but other industrial backgrounds will be considered.
• Experience leading teams, managing project delivery, and stakeholder engagement.
• Working knowledge of CDM regulations.
