Job summary

Millbank Holdings Ltd is seeking a proven Lead Civil Engineer to oversee the civil design scope for a major new-build project at Sellafield. You will lead a team of engineers and designers, coordinating highways, drainage, earthworks and underground services, and ensure safety and regulatory standards are met.

You will manage delivery schedules, develop 3D models and detailed drawings, and engage with stakeholders to deliver a high-profile infrastructure initiative with long-term impact.

Qualifications

• Civil or structural engineering degree required; chartered status preferred.
• Extensive experience in civil design including highways, drainage, earthworks, and underground services.
• Proficient with Infodrainage, Civils 3D and AutoCAD.
• Experience in regulated environments or industrial sectors; nuclear experience desirable.
• Experience leading teams, delivering projects, and engaging stakeholders.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations.

The Role

Your responsibilities include planning civil design scopes, managing delivery schedules, leading a team of engineers and designers, and ensuring designs meet safety, regulatory, and project-specific standards. You will coordinate cross-discipline collaboration, develop 3D models and detailed drawings, and provide technical oversight throughout the project’s lifecycle.

Qualifications & experience

• A civil or structural engineering degree, with chartered status preferred.
• Proven, extensive experience in civil design, including highways, drainage, earthworks, and underground services.
• Expert proficiency in civil design software such as Infodrainage, Civils 3D, and AutoCAD.
• Experience working within regulated environments or industrial sectors; nuclear experience is highly desirable, but other industrial backgrounds will be considered.
• Experience leading teams, managing project delivery, and stakeholder engagement.
• Working knowledge of CDM regulations.
