Job summary

Levy UK & Ireland is seeking a Lead Chef for our retail operations at The Ovo Hydro and SEC Campus. The role focuses on leading kitchen teams, upholding high culinary standards, and driving menu development and cost control to support athletic performance and client needs.

Qualifications

• Senior culinary experience in a leadership role (e.g., Sous Chef or above).
• Proven ability to lead, mentor and manage a kitchen team.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Creative menu development with nutritional balance.
• Experience controlling food costs and budgeting.
• Strong communication and adaptability for varied schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Menu Planning and Development with the head chef.
• Oversee food preparation and cooking to high standards.
• Supervise kitchen staff; provide training and mentorship.
• Maintain food quality and presentation with QC measures.
• Assist inventory, stock management and waste reduction.
• Help manage kitchen budget and supplier sourcing.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and audits.
• Support catering for events and club activities.
• Collaborate with nutritionists on meal plans.
