Job summary

Levy UK & Ireland is seeking a Lead Chef to oversee kitchen operations at Hydro Hospitality across The Ovo Hydro and SEC Campus in Glasgow. You will partner with the Head Chef to maintain top-tier culinary standards, lead the kitchen team, and drive menu development and cost control.

Offering a competitive salary of £34,000 plus benefits, you’ll ensure health and safety compliance, mentor staff, and deliver exceptional dining experiences for athletes, staff, and guests.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a senior culinary role, preferably within stadia, venues or high-performance environments.
• Ability to lead, mentor and manage a kitchen team.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety, hygiene and compliance requirements.
• Creativity to develop varied menus while maintaining nutritional balance.
• Experience with budgeting, cost control and supplier negotiation.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with chefs, nutritionists and staff.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
