Job summary

Levy UK & Ireland is recruiting a Retail Head Chef for Wimbledon, London, to lead the high-volume, premium retail catering operation at The Championships. You will own menu development, tastings, and live delivery, delivering innovative concepts and ensuring quality and sustainability across all outlets.

The role requires strong leadership, creative culinary vision, and the ability to drive improvements from concept to service, in a fast-paced, global‑stage environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume event catering or large-scale operations.
• Proven ability to develop and coach teams.
• Ability to operate independently and drive results.
• Strong interest in current food trends and guest experience.
• Comfort with influencing stakeholders and leading across areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead the culinary vision for The Championships’ Retail operation, creating innovative dishes and concepts.
• Own the full culinary journey from menu development through mobilisation, live delivery and post-event review.
• Turn ideas into action, ensure tasting feedback is captured and reflected in final specifications.
• Set the culinary standard with detailed recipes, flavour profiles and presentation guidelines.
• Champion quality and sustainability, securing seasonal, locally sourced products.
• Use data to drive decisions, optimise menu sales, stock levels and waste.
• Master production and logistics, developing efficient pre-production and night-production schedules.
• Ensure operational readiness with equipment and resources for delivery of exceptional menus.
• Raise the bar on quality, benchmark trends and guest feedback with daily checks.
• Lead from the front, supporting area chefs and managers and driving culinary projects.
