Job summary

Platform Housing Group is seeking a Lead Engineer – Carpentry in Lincolnshire to deliver carpentry repairs and maintenance while coaching colleagues and guiding best practice across Platform Property Care. The role covers Grimsby, Louth, Skegness and Boston with a focus on customer service and quality standards.

A full driving licence and DBS check are required. 75-80% hands-on carpentry with remaining time dedicated to mentoring, competence assessment, and apprentice support to drive service

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 in Carpentry.
Additional Trade qualifications are desirable.
Experience as a Carpenter in the building trade.
Experience working in occupied domestic properties.
Full valid driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

Carry out a wide range of carpentry repairs and maintenance work in homes and communal areas.
Manage jobs from inspection through to completion with excellent customer service.
Coach, mentor and upskill colleagues and apprentices.
Sign off colleagues against multi-skill framework and support EPA.
Promote consistent trade standards and best practice across Platform Property Care.
