Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment is seeking an experienced CAD Designer to join our growing design team in Ramsgate, Kent. This role offers ownership of complex projects, direct interaction with clients and a chance to influence product development from concept through to production.

You will produce accurate 3D models and manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor, manage design revisions, attend client reviews and mentor junior designers in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a CAD Designer, Design Engineer, Technical Designer or similar position.
• Strong 3D CAD and technical drawing skills.
• Autodesk Inventor experience highly desirable.
• Good understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Experience managing client communications and project coordination.
• HNC, HND or Degree in a relevant engineering or design discipline desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead bespoke design projects from concept to production.
• Produce accurate 3D models, manufacturing drawings and assembly drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
• Maintain design revisions and technical documentation
• Attend client meetings and design reviews
• Liaise with engineering, project and production teams
• Ensure designs meet quality, compliance and manufacturability requirements
• Identify and resolve technical design challenges
• Support and mentor junior CAD Designers
• Contribute to improving departmental processes and standards
