Job summary

Project Partners in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, is recruiting a 3D CAD / BIM Technician to develop detailed 3D models and technical drawings for water and wastewater projects. You will lead model development, coordinate with engineers, and ensure BIM workflows meet industry standards.

You will mentor junior technicians, contribute to design reviews, and drive improvements in digital design processes while delivering high-quality outputs on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD/BIM software for water and wastewater projects.
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams to improve BIM-based design integration.
• Prepare, review, and maintain digital models and drawings to meet client requirements and standards.
• Assist in clash detection and resolve design conflicts using BIM tools.
• Mentor junior technicians and contribute to training on CAD/BIM workflows.
• Support design reviews with expert input on model accuracy and efficiency improvements.
