Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a 3D CAD Technician (Mechanical) to support water sector projects in Knaresborough, UK. The role focuses on developing 3D CAD/BIM models and delivering accurate drawings for complex water and wastewater schemes.

You will collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure designs are coordinated, validated, and delivered to required standards, while guiding less experienced technicians when needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a 3D CAD Technician, CAD Designer or BIM Technician.
• Experience in water, wastewater, utilities, civil engineering or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong AutoCAD skills.
• Experience with Revit and/or Navisworks.
• Good understanding of 3D modelling and BIM processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering information.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D CAD and BIM models.
• Produce accurate technical drawings and design documentation.
• Coordinate designs with engineers and other disciplines.
• Review drawings and models for accuracy and quality.

Rate: £400+ per day

Duration: 6 months+

About the Role

You will be responsible for developing accurate 3D models, technical drawings and design information to support the delivery of complex water and wastewater projects.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary design team, collaborating with engineers and other technical professionals to ensure designs are coordinated, accurate and delivered to the required standards.

What We're Looking For
