Job summary
Acorn Engineering Limited invites an experienced Lead Engineer to take ownership of technical delivery and lead a team of engineers across West and North West London. The role focuses on shaping architecture, standards and best practices, while supporting the Contracts Manager to deliver exceptional client service.
The ideal candidate will mentor engineers, ensure safety, quality and compliance, and align activities with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities with proven delivery
- Excellent understanding of health and safety requirements and RAMS
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and plan workloads
- Experience with client-facing service delivery and stakeholder management
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of engineers to deliver reactive and planned maintenance across sites
- Coordinate daily workloads with scheduling, ensuring tasks meet timeframes, safety standards, and KPIs
- Provide technical guidance to engineers and maintain high workmanship standards
- Ensure works comply with procedures, regulations and RAMS with safe systems of work
- Maintain maintenance records, documentation and certification; complete self-audits
- Report risks, resource needs and performance to Contracts Manager; support maintenance planning
- Promote safe working practices and support engineer development
- Monitor materials, tools and equipment for compliance and availability
