Job summary

Acorn is seeking a Building Services Engineer to perform planned maintenance across client sites in North and North West London. The role requires solid knowledge of HVAC, heating and ventilation, and experience delivering PPMs on commercial sites.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as Building Services or Maintenance Engineer.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical building services (HVAC, heating, ventilation).
  • Experience delivering planned preventative maintenance across commercial sites.
  • Ability to work independently and plan workloads.
  • Strong communication and customer-focused approach.
  • Good health and safety and site compliance understanding.
  • City & Guilds or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Building Services Engineer

North and North West London

We are currently seeking a Building Services Engineer to join our team, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) across client sites in North and North West London

Package & Benefits

Salary: up to £44000 depending on experience plus overtime and callout

Hours: 41.25 hours a week

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a reliable and professional Building Services Engineer who takes pride in planned maintenance work and understands the importance of consistency, presentation, and client engagement.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Proven experience working as a Building Services or Maintenance Engineer
  • A solid understanding of mechanical building services, including HVAC systems, heating, ventilation, and associated plant
  • Experience delivering planned preventative maintenance across commercial sites
  • The ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and plan workloads efficiently
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, customer‑focused approach
  • A good understanding of health and safety and site compliance
  • Relevant mechanical or building services qualifications (City & Guilds or equivalent preferred)
  • A full UK driving licence
