Job summary

Acorn Limited is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to oversee technical delivery in North London, Hertfordshire, and East Essex. This hands-on leadership role includes mentoring engineers and ensuring high-quality maintenance services. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities, alongside a commitment to safety and compliance.

The position offers a salary of up to £50,000, plus benefits such as company events and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in M&E.
• Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Engineer.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of engineers.
• Coordinate daily workloads with the scheduling team.
• Provide technical support and guidance to engineers.
• Ensure adherence to company procedures and health & safety requirements.

Skills

Leadership capabilities

Good knowledge of SFG20

Experience in building services maintenance

Effective communication skills

IT literacy

Problem-solving skills

Education

Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or Building Services

IOSH Managing Safely

Relevant technical certification (e.g., 18th Edition, F-Gas)
