Job summary

SF Recruitment are working with an established specialist manufacturer in Leicestershire to recruit a Production Manager for their bespoke joinery operation. This role leads a skilled team across joinery and machining, ensuring projects are planned, manufactured safely, and delivered to time and quality.

The ideal candidate will have bespoke joinery experience, strong leadership, and a track record in production planning and delivering complex, one‑off projects in a commercial setting.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supervising skilled joinery/manufacturing teams.
• Strong workshop and production planning capability.
• The ability to read and confidently challenge technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule multiple bespoke joinery projects through the workshop.
• Manage and develop a skilled production team.
• Monitor labour hours, materials, and progress against project requirements.
• Review drawings and cutting lists before release into production.
• Maintain high standards of quality throughout production.
• Support apprentices and less experienced team members.
