Job summary

Evera Recruitment Ltd in Coventry seeks a Principal Test & Evaluation Engineer to lead planning, execution and evaluation of testing activities for advanced battery systems within a highly regulated engineering environment. You will work across the full product lifecycle and provide technical leadership across testing programmes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Systems Engineering or related).
• Experience with battery technologies in high-integrity applications.
• Experience planning, executing and reporting battery system testing and validation.
• Understanding of test methodologies for performance, safety, reliability and degradation.
• Familiarity with Systems Engineering and Verification & Validation processes.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing and evaluation programmes for advanced battery systems across development, qualification and in-service phases.
• Develop testing strategies and provide technical guidance on battery performance, safety and reliability assessments.
• Create, review and approve test plans, procedures and technical reports.
• Manage hazard and risk assessments associated with battery testing and fault simulation activities.
• Evaluate system performance under normal, abnormal and fault conditions.
• Support project planning, resource management, technical reporting and stakeholder engagement activities.
