Job summary
GE Vernova’s Power Conversion & Storage business seeks an experienced applications engineer to scope technical bid solutions for CMUs in service systems, supporting regional Sales teams and campaigns. You will advise on technical, cost-effective offerings and work with Engineering, Sourcing and other functions to deliver robust proposals.
The role requires a strong background in Automation, PLCs, MV drives or Power Systems, plus familiarity with application engineering tools.
Qualifications
- Solid background in Automation, PLCs, MV drives or Power Systems.
- Experience as Application Engineer for offshore, naval or industry domains.
- Proficient knowledge of Application Engineering tools such as Salesforce and OCS.
Responsibilities
- Assess customer requirements and scope the technical bid solution for CMUs.
- Provide technical expertise to the commercial team to select cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare technical offers and support during customer meetings and negotiations.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Commissioning and Sourcing to identify feasible techno-commercial proposals.
- Identify technical risks and mitigation plans; ensure timely, quality responses to customer requests.
