Job summary

GE Vernova in the United Kingdom seeks a Power System Engineer to contribute to land-based grid, offshore marine and defence projects by delivering safe, efficient and performance-led power systems across tendering, design, testing and commissioning.

You will work with simulations, hardware specifications and I/O schedules, supporting in-service activities and obsolescence planning, with opportunities to pursue CEng status and UK security clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience in naval or offshore and marine applications.
• Detailed working knowledge of power systems and power conversion.
• Ability to undertake analyses and prepare supporting reports; validation with HIL or physical tests.

Responsibilities

• Undertake studies and analysis of power systems using simulation software.
• Support design and delivery of projects from concept to commissioning.
• Influence system and equipment design; prepare technical deliverables and reports.
• Support factory acceptance tests and customer meetings; assist in-service support.
