Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Lead Air Conditioning Engineer in Chester to lead the development of our client’s new Air Conditioning division. You will survey, install, service and fault‑find domestic split‑system HVAC projects, and work with the in‑house electrical team to deliver high standards.

This role offers a £40k‑£50k salary (negotiable), a company vehicle and fuel card, pension, private healthcare and 25 days leave plus bank holidays, with clear progression into management for the

Qualifications

• F-Gas Cat 1 certification is essential.
• Proven experience installing, servicing and fault‑finding air conditioning systems.
• Full UK driving licence and able to commute to Chester/South Cheshire or Shropshire.
• Experience with domestic split‑system installations.

Responsibilities

• Survey and assess new air conditioning projects (domestic split systems).
• Install systems with in‑house electrical team.
• Perform post‑installation inspections to meet standards.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on air conditioning systems.
• Support growth of the air conditioning division.

About Us

Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing renewable energy business with a strong reputation across the renewable sector, including Solar PV and Heat Pump installations. Due to continued growth and increasing demand, they have recently launched a dedicated Air Conditioning division and are looking to appoint an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to help drive its development.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious engineer who wants more than just another service role. The successful candidate will play a key part in shaping and growing the company's Air Conditioning offering, with the opportunity to build and lead a dedicated team in the future.

The Role

• Surveying and assessing new Air Conditioning projects, primarily domestic split-system installations.
• Installing Air Conditioning systems alongside the company's in-house electrical team.
• Carrying out post-installation inspections and ensuring all work meets industry standards and company expectations.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on Air Conditioning systems.
• Undertaking F-Gas related work across a portfolio of over 2,000 installed heat pump systems.
• Supporting the development and growth of the Air Conditioning division.

What We Are Looking For
