Job summary

Alecto Recruitment Limited seeks a Lead Air Conditioning Engineer for a Chester-based role within a growing renewable energy business. The candidate will help shape and grow the new Air Conditioning division, working closely with existing teams and taking on increasing leadership responsibilities.

The role involves surveying projects, installations and inspections, with a focus on domestic split-system work and F-Gas compliance. Competitive package and progression prospects are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid F-Gas Certification (Cat 1) required.
• Proven experience installing, servicing, and fault-finding air conditioning systems.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to commute to Chester/South Cheshire or Shropshire.
• Experience with domestic split-system installations and field surveys.

Responsibilities

• Surveying and assessing new air conditioning projects, primarily domestic split-system installations.
• Installing air conditioning systems alongside the in-house electrical team.
• Carrying out post-installation inspections and ensuring all work meets industry standards and company expectations.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on air conditioning systems.
• Undertaking F-Gas related work across a portfolio of over 2,000 installed heat pump systems.
• Supporting the development and growth of the air conditioning division.

Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing renewable energy business with a strong reputation across the renewable sector, including Solar PV and Heat Pump installations. Due to continued growth and increasing demand, they have recently launched a dedicated Air Conditioning division and are looking to appoint an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to help drive its development.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious engineer who wants more than just another service role. The successful candidate will play a key part in shaping and growing the company's Air Conditioning offering, with the opportunity to build and lead a dedicated team in the future.

The Role

• Surveying and assessing new Air Conditioning projects, primarily domestic split-system installations.
