Additional Resources Ltd is seeking aSenior Air Conditioning Engineer/Technical Lead to oversee technical development, train engineers, and manage air conditioning installations, servicing and repairs across the Midlands.

The role requires F-Gas Category 1, experience with ducted/VRF systems, and a background in mentoring engineers. A full UK driving licence is essential for site work and client meetings.

Qualifications

• F-Gas Category 1 qualification is required.
• Experience with air conditioning systems including ducted and VRF.
• Experience installing systems in domestic and commercial settings.
• Background in training, mentoring or supervising engineers.
• Familiarity with major air conditioning brands (e.g., Daikin, Mitsubishi, Haier, Toshiba, Fujitsu).
• Strong electrical fault-finding and understanding of controls.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain and repair split, multi-split, ducted and VRF/VRV systems in domestic/commercial properties.
• Train and support engineers, mentoring colleagues.
• Advise surveyors on surveys, design and equipment selection; support their development.
• Lead ducted and VRF projects; provide on-site technical guidance to engineers.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, explain faults to customers, and keep accurate job/F-Gas records.

Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Air Conditioning Engineer / Technical Lead to join an established heating and cooling business serving domestic and commercial customers across the Midlands.

As a Senior Air Conditioning Engineer / Technical Lead, you will lead technical development, train and support engineers, and carry out air conditioning installations, servicing and repairs across the Midlands.

This role offers salary range of £48,000 - £60,000 plus overtime opportunities and benefits.

You will be responsible for:

• Installing, commissioning, maintaining and repairing split, multi-split, ducted and VRF/VRV air conditioning systems across domestic and commercial properties.
• Training heating engineers in air conditioning installation and maintenance, while mentoring and supporting colleagues.
• Advising surveyors on air conditioning surveys, system design and equipment selection, and supporting their technical development.
• Leading ducted and VRF projects and providing on-site technical guidance to other engineers.
• Carrying out scheduled maintenance to manufacturer standards, explaining faults and repairs to customers, and maintaining accurate job and F-Gas records.

What we are looking for:

• F-Gas Category 1 qualification.
• Air conditioning experience, including ducted and VRF systems.
• Experience installing air conditioning systems in both domestic and commercial settings.
• Background in training, mentoring or supervising engineers.
• Familiarity with Daikin, Mitsubishi, Haier, Toshiba, Fujitsu or similar air conditioning systems.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills and a sound understanding of controls.
• A full UK driving licence.
