Job summary

Kainos is seeking an ABS Business Consultant in Birmingham to lead discovery, advisory and shaping activities. You will guide multidisciplinary teams to translate business needs into delivery approaches, platform strategies and operating models, ensuring customer value and sustainable change.

You will work with Product Owners and delivery teams to shape MVPs, backlogs and roadmaps, while addressing ethical and governance considerations for AI-enabled solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading consulting, discovery, advisory or shaping activities within technology-enabled change.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence constructively.
• Strong business analysis and analytical skills, including defining requirements and redesigning processes for AI-enabled operating models.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and awareness of Copilot and AI-enabled processes.
• Experience shaping platform and operating models to help customers adopt and scale Microsoft Business Applications.
• Understanding of value realisation and benefits management in technology transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery, advisory and shaping activities, helping customers define challenges and desired outcomes.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder conversations across groups with different priorities.
• Evaluate options and make recommendations balancing value, user needs, feasibility, risk and cost.
• Lead business-facing activities within multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Define requirements, priorities and measures of success for future-state processes.
• Shape MVPs, backlogs, roadmaps and delivery approaches with Product Owners.
