Job summary

Kainos is seeking an ABS Business Consultant in the UK to lead discovery, advisory and shaping activities across AI-enabled Microsoft Business Applications. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, define value cases, and shape MVPs and roadmaps to deliver measurable business improvements.

You will partner with Product Owners and engineers to align deliverables with client outcomes, ensuring governance and sustainable change while maintaining a people-first approach.

Qualifications

• Experience leading consulting, discovery, advisory or shaping activities within technology-enabled change.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills with the ability to influence.
• Strong business analysis and analytical skills for redesigning processes for AI-enabled operating models.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform; awareness of Copilot and AI-enabled processes.
• Experience designing platform strategies, governance frameworks, or Centre of Excellence approaches.
• Ability to communicate clearly with senior and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience producing customer-facing outputs (recommendations, roadmaps, findings).
• Awareness of Responsible AI, governance and human oversight in AI-enabled solutions.
• Experience coaching colleagues and supporting capability development.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate options balancing value, user needs, feasibility and cost.
• Lead business-facing activities within multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Define value cases, success metrics and outcome measures.
• Shape platform and capability strategies for Microsoft Business Applications, Copilot and AI-enabled services.
• Define operating models and governance for sustainable adoption.
• Contribute to proposals, estimates and business development.
• Develop consulting methods and coach colleagues.
