Job summary

Aureos is seeking an LE3 Linesman / Plant Operator at the Muir of Ord site to perform overhead and underground electrical line work and operate various plant machinery for infrastructure projects.

The role requires LE3 Linesman certification, relevant plant operator tickets, and proven experience in electrical distribution network construction, maintenance and repair. On-site, outdoors, with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in ESI - Distribution Overhead or equivalent electrical trade qualification.
• Current LE3 Linesman certification.
• Proven experience in electrical distribution network construction, maintenance and repair.
• Demonstrated experience operating heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work plans.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Valid Driver's License (HR class preferred).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
• Install and remove poles, cross-arms, insulators, transformers, and other line equipment.
• Splice and terminate overhead and underground electrical cables.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults and outages.
• Operate plant machinery including excavators, backhoes, trenchers and EWPs.
• Perform pre-start checks, routine maintenance, and minor repairs on plant machinery.
• Adhere to safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Complete accurate documentation of work performed (logbooks and job reports).
• Participate in on-call rotations and emergency response as required.
