Job summary

Learning Disability Support Worker Batley is advertised for full-time work supporting young adults and children with LD in the local community. You will deliver person-centred care, help empower clients to live independently, and work as part of a compassionate team.

Key duties include direct care, de-escalation to keep people safe, assistance with daily living activities and community engagement, accurate digital records, and collaboration with families and healthcare professionals to achieve

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months’ experience supporting adults with LD needs.
• Experience managing challenging behaviours and safeguarding vulnerable adults.
• Current PMVA certificate and eligibility to work in the UK.
• Ability to use digital care systems for documentation and reporting.
• Excellent communication with calm, empathetic approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and emotional support to adults with LD.
• Apply de-escalation techniques to manage situations safely.
• Support daily living activities and community engagement.
• Maintain digital care plans, incident reports, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with families and MDTs to ensure positive outcomes.
