Job summary

Leeds International Study Centre is seeking a Tutor/Module Coordinator to ensure the effective delivery of teaching programmes in line with our education strategy. You will contribute to student support and to the development of innovative teaching practices across the Centre.

You will design, develop and deliver teaching materials across modules, coordinate academic activities and support the student lifecycle, attending to assessment and VLE updates. This role is on-site in Leeds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.
• Master’s qualification is desirable.
• Candidates with a PhD will be particularly welcomed.
• Experience teaching in UK higher or further education and working with international students is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic coordination for designated module(s) as module coordinator.
• Participate in regular meetings with teaching and support staff for programme management.
• Design, deliver and develop modules offered by the centre.
• Deliver and assess provision; prepare module examinations and provide feedback.
• Update the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and coordinate with support teams.
• Support induction, orientation and registration programmes with relevant teams.
• Engage in scholarly activity to keep modules current.
• Undertake teaching, learning and assessment observations and contribute to staff development.
