Job summary

Ardencote Manor - Hiddenwell is seeking a Laundry Supervisor to join our Housekeeping team. You will manage linen, towels and robes, ensuring availability and presentation across the hotel floors. This hands-on role requires strong organisation and a commitment to high standards.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with varied shifts. Previous housekeeping or laundry experience is useful, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are valued.

Responsibilities

• Manage movement and availability of bed linen, towels and robes throughout the hotel.
• Ensure housekeeping trolleys and cupboards are prepared and stocked.
• Strip and collect linen from departures and return to laundry areas.
• Deliver clean linen and towels to designated floors during the day.
• Check deliveries against notes and report discrepancies.
• Prepare water bottles and trolleys for the next day.

Join our Housekeeping team and help us deliver an exceptional guest experience

We’re looking for a Laundry Supervisor to play an important role within our Housekeeping team. You’ll help make sure our bedrooms and housekeeping areas have everything they need, with clean linen, fresh towels and robes available throughout the day

This is a hands‑on, active role that’s ideal for someone who is organised, reliable and takes pride in maintaining high standards

What you’ll be doing

• Managing the movement and availability of bed linen, towels and robes throughout the hotel
• Making sure housekeeping and linen trolleys are ready in the correct areas
• Keeping housekeeping cupboards clean, organised and well stocked
• Stripping linen, towels and robes from departure bedrooms
• Collecting dirty linen and taking it to the appropriate laundry areas
• Separating towels and robes ready for washing
• Delivering clean linen, towels and robes to the required floors throughout the day
• Checking linen deliveries against delivery notes and reporting any discrepancies
• Washing, refilling and distributing guest water bottles
• Collecting empty bottles and glasses from corridors and returning them to the correct areas
• Removing room service trays and returning them to the kitchen
• Reporting any housekeeping issues, including spillages, breakages or rooms requiring additional attention
• Making sure corridors are clean, clear and guest‑ready at the end of each shift
• Preparing water bottles and trolleys ready for the following day

What we’re looking for

• Must have a great eye for detail and takes pride in high standards

• Must understand the importance of cleanliness and presentation
• Must be comfortable with the physical nature of the role, including moving linen and trolleys

Previous experience in housekeeping, laundry or hospitality would be an advantage, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important

Additional Information

• Full‑Time position working 5 out of 7 days per week - including weekends and public holidays
• Shift Patterns: 7am - 3pm, 12pm - 8pm, 2pm - 10pm
• 40 hours per week
• Salary: £ 28,000 per annum
