Job summary

Simply Jobsworth is seeking an experienced Laser Setter / Operator for a permanent, full-time role in Halesowen. The position offers 40 hours per week with rotating shifts (6:00am–2:30pm mornings and 2:00pm–11:30pm/6:00pm end on some days) and pay of £14.00–£14.50 per hour, plus overtime opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience setting and operating laser cutting machines, plus a Counterbalance Forklift licence (highly desirable).

Qualifications

• Previous experience setting and operating laser cutting machines is essential.
• Counterbalance Forklift licence is highly desirable.
• Manufacturing or engineering experience.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Physically fit, as some heavy lifting may be required.
• Reliable with a positive attitude towards teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate laser cutting machines.
• Load raw materials onto the machines.
• Unload finished parts safely and efficiently.
• Sort and prepare completed parts ready for dispatch.
• Carry out quality checks throughout the production process.
• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift to move materials where required.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Support the production team to achieve daily targets.

Laser Setter / Operator – Location: Halesowen. Pay: £14.00 per hour (AM Shift) | £14.50 per hour (PM Shift). Hours: 40 hours per week | Rotating Shifts. Job Type: Permanent | Full Time.

Shift Pattern

Week 1 – Mornings

• Monday to Friday
• 6:00am - 2:30pm

Week 2 – Afternoons

• Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm - 11:30pm
• Friday: 2:00pm - 6:00pm

The Role
