We are a leading engineering surveyors firm, seeking a Surveyor to join our surveying team in Bedford. Our network includes ten offices, contributing to major UK construction and infrastructure projects.
As a Surveyor at Survey Solutions, you will independently conduct a range of surveys, including topographical, measured building, and setting out, utilizing innovative technology. You will process data in the office to a high standard and collaborate on multi-disciplinary projects, sharing your expertise with less experienced team members.
Responsibilities
- Complete various scale and complexity topographical surveys independently to a high standard.
- Conduct measured building surveys, independently handling various complexities.
- Lead large and complex survey projects, coordinating with team members of different experience levels.
- Organize and provide instructions to multiple teams on survey projects.
- Assist in the development of trainee, junior, and technician staff through onsite and office work.
- Process survey data from various instrumentation to high standards.
- Contribute to project efficiency and quality with minimal supervision.
- Maintain survey instrumentation to ensure it remains fit for purpose.
- Perform site inspections and risk assessments, reporting safety issues promptly.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in surveying, with a proven track record in various survey types.
- Experience with laser scanners and traditional methods for building surveys.
- Ability to process raw survey and CAD data to high standards.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, approachable manner.
- Strong understanding of health and safety protocols in civil engineering.

- Minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths & English at Grade C/4 or above.
- Full UK driving license and ability to commute to Bedford.
- Right to work in the UK.
